


The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) is excited to announce that Special Events and Temporary Right of Way Permits will now be submitted through the OpenGov Permitting System. The new submittal process is designed to enhance efficiency, improve the user experience, and streamline the permitting process.
Key features include:
The Permit Section is responsible for issuing Temporary Use of Right of Way Permits and New Water Service Permits. Permits are issued for:

| Access to Pull Wires | Cranes |
| Storage Containers | Footway/Sidewalk Closures |
| Street, Alley, or Lane Closures | Scaffold |
| Dumpsters | Fence |
| Test Pits | Moving Trucks |
| Film & Media Equipment | Street/Utility Cuts |
Standard processing time for all permit types is 15 days. Our staff will work to process applications as quickly as possible.
