Baltimore, MD (July 24, 2025) – Today, the Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) Harbormaster Office is excited to announce the official launch of an online reservation system for docking at Baltimore City municipal piers. Both Inner Harbor and Fells Point docking locations are now LIVE on the DOCKWA mobile app, Marinas.com and Dockwa.com.

Beginning today, boaters can easily view pier availability, reserve space, pay docking and amenity fees, and manage their reservations in real time - all through a streamlined and user-friendly online interface. Used by over 200 municipal marinas around the US, the DOCKWA platform enhances efficiency, transparency, communication and convenience for visiting vessels of all sizes.

“Our goal is to provide boaters with a modern and navigable digital platform for reserving a spot at Baltimore’s municipal piers,” said Mike McGeady, Baltimore City Harbormaster. “By partnering with an industry leader like DOCKWA, we’re offering greater levels of access, flexibility, communication, and professionalism to boaters and visitors while generating much-needed funds to support maritime infrastructure."

Key Features and Benefits:
Real-Time Docking Availability – Boaters can browse a map and make docking requests 24/7 using desktop or mobile platforms. Based on vessel length overall (LOA), rates are available for day trips, overnights, holidays, special events, and monthly stays. There are also flat rates for a “dock and dine” program and a designated dinghy area.

Fast Booking - Once a reservation request is confirmed by the Harbormaster, the reservation system supports credit card payment for a deposit. Given weather and other variables, there is a flexible cancellation policy. Final billing occurs on vessel departure day.

Secure Payments – DOCKWA follows Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards and enforces strict controls for handling credit and debit card data. DOCKWA does not sell or share Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Email Confirmations and Updates – Users receive confirmation emails and live updates, with direct notification for any changes.

Mobile Tool – The DOCKWA app puts the complete reservation and payment experience in the palm of your hand via mobile phone or tablet.
